Does Birth Control Have a Side Effect of Insomnia?

I was taking Mircette Birth Control. It is composed of (desogestrel/ethinyl estradiol and ethinyl estradiol)…Now, I switched just a week ago to Ortho Cept (desogestrel/ethinyl estradiol and ethinyl estradiol). They are made of the same components, but Mircette has .10mg less progestin than Orthocept.

Anyway, I have not been able to get good sleep since I started this pill. I am not stressed, depressed or anything…what could it be other than this? I am a vegan who does not take meds except this so what is the issue?

Ever get this side effect?

no it is not. It might just be the fact that there is more going into your system when your body is regulated on a certain amount.
