Have you ever taken Ambien? Had any strange side effects?

I had my baby 2 weeks ago and was diagnosed with postpartum depression and had insomnia so i was prescribed zoloft and ambien. I’ve been taking ambien ( the only pill that has worked so far) the last 4 days and last night I slept for about 5 hours and then woke up feeling dizzy and couldn’t go back to sleep. A lot of people have told me that they’ve hallucinated and did things they didn’t rememeber. I went back to school today and felt so tired and dizzy and was so scared that I was going to hallucinate and do something stupid that I kept my head down the whole class period. Should I switch to something else…I want to just have a normal night sleep without all the side effects.
